The Valley Brethren-Mennonite Heritage Center presents "The Politics of Anabaptism," with Dr. Steve Longenecker, professor of History at Bridgewater College, Sunday, October 30, at 4 PM. Dr. Longenecker discusses the political behavior of American Anabaptists in the past and identifies patterns and trends. The lecture asks how the Anabaptist political past is still useful and how the politics of Anabaptism remain relevant in the current environment. In a season of intense politicization, take a step back and participate in an historical accounting of Anabaptism and politics. This lecture is hosted at Community Mennonite Church, located at 70 S. High St., Harrisonburg, VA. A free-will offering will be received to support the work of the Valley Brethren-Mennonite Heritage Center.
