Fall CrossRoads Bus Tour

At the first stop, Fisher's Hill, Dale MacAllister narrates the battle summary.

The bus paused at the Battle of Cedar Creek Historical marker for a view of the battlefield area.

The trip included a guided tour at Belle Grove, an elegant manor house built of limestone quarried on the property. This house was occupied by General Sheridan and his troops during the Civil War.

The tour lunched at the Wayside Inn, the oldest Inn in continuous use in America.

Historians and Civil War enthusiasts paid and arranged for a Civil War Trail sign and marker explaining the death of Lt. John Rogers Meigs, near Dayton.
