The play revolves around the fictitious family of Lewis and Abigail Showalter and their five adult children. The varied choices of these young people and the reactions of each family member create enormous tension and pain as they all struggle to maintain family bonds. The play realistically depicts the many responses to issues of individual conscience which may or may not be consistent with the teachings of the church.

Written by Eastern Mennonite University graduate Elizabeth Beachy, the drama played to sell-out crowds at its premier in Harrisonburg, VA in the summer of 2002.

As people of faith, we believe you will find this to be an excellent means of stimulating thought and discussion about issues surrounding war.
